Apart from the usual places, does anyone know of someone who may take on such a task as reskinning a Banjo? If so, how much.

Is Kempsters the best place to get amps revalved round these parts does anyone know? My Fender Hot Rod Deluxe is crackling like a bastard once the valves warm up and tapping one of the power valves seems to confirm it's the culprit. I want to get it sorted out before i sell it.

Looking for a Guitar Tutor in Instrument Talk, Advice and Theory by nicholasblair

Hi there,

I'm, well, looking for a guitar tutor.

I was a fairly competent rhythm player in my teens, but that was nearly 20 years ago, so I'd like to find someone who can give me a refresher, and maybe take my technique up a notch or two, teach me a bit of lead, etc.

Please reply or PM me if you can help. Electric guitar, by the way.

Cheers,

Currently modding my Ibanez; better electronics, better hardware basically. Planning to rout out the neck pickup cavity so I can put a full-sized humbucker or P90 in it (going to add a partial scratchplate too, so I can hide the joins as it were). Just wondering about the advantages and disadvantages of having a P90 in the neck and a humbucker in the bridge...

As the title suggests I have a Boss PH-2 Super Phaser, and I'm having issues with it.

Firstly, there is a very noticable drop in volume when I switch it on, would some kind of booster or somesuch help this?

(EDIT: Power issue solved)

I'd quite like to get this working as apart from the aforementioned it's a really nice effect.
