My first self-made album is available for free download at this site:

Nitroglitch

It was very fun to make, and I'd like to spread my tracks as far as possible. Just take them, listen to your hearts content, and maybe even share the tracks with your friends! I make these with only my computer. I can't afford any expensive equipment yet, so my computer/internet has allowed me to show my affection towards the music world through innovative means.

I'm looking to collaborate with any singers/rappers who would like to help on my next project. I do use vocal clips, but I'm looking for some (somewhat) professional people to help me out. Send me a message with mp3 attachments if you're interested!

E-Mail: NevesParadox@yahoo.com

Also, if you don't like the quality of the free album, you can download each song individually from Nitroglitch's sounds on SoundCloud - Create, record and share your sounds for free noi

in mp3 only formats. For some reason the Sound Cloud files sound better. You should also become a fan on Facebook! Happy Listening!

Are Gigs Too CHEAP? in General Discussions by Sheermusic

Interesting Drowned in Sound discussion

For my tuppence, I have increased my local shows in Devizes to £5 on the door. This is to simply cover costs - a more realistic price. see my website for a slightly more in depth opinion on that.

How ever, from My Paying an entry fee point of view... I have never really quibbled over an entry fee, if there is a band I want to see. In reality £5 is nothing to pay, even with drinks on top. This how ever is born from the fact I rarely go out to an event that I'm not in some shape or form involved with.

What I'm saying there is, to regular regular gig goers a couple of quid on a ticket price, would be more significant.

What's everyone else's opinion on this?!

JOSEPH FERRANTE, piano tuner of George Harrison in General Discussions by davisrr

Joseph Ferrante had his first guitar as a Christmas present when he was nine years old. Since then he's been learning all kind of music styles so as to apply them to his guitar playing. He is mainly a Rock musician.

Pod's Blues, After Obsession, The Beasts, The Primitives, Ferrante's Experience, Silver Shadows, The B3, Yesterday, Bowen West, Rock Ltd., etc., etc., are some of the bands he's played with.

He worked as a piano tuner and technician for Chappell, Yamaha and other firms, perfecting the art of making and repairing pianos.

Amongst his usual customers you could find The Royal Albert Hall, The Westminster Cathedral, The Royal Scots Guard Band, The BBC, The London Symphony Orchestra, The Queen Elizabeth Hall, George Harrison, etc., etc. He also worked for the National Artists Association, attending pianos on the national tours of artists such as Maurice Hasson, Judith Jaimes, etc, etc.

He stopped giving live performances with bands and is now exclusively dedicating himself to studio work. Ferrante uses real instruments, avoiding the use of computers, sequencers, etc., etc.

Three main reasons guided his life: God, Music and Romeo and Juliet. His major musical influences are: God, Yes, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, E.L.P., Jimi Hendrix, Beethoven and Bach.

His "Shangri-la" CD is a mixture of styles and tendencies including Rock, Ballads, Classic Choirs, Latin Music, Impromptus, Reggae Fusion, Tropical Bachata, Fox Trot, Swing, etc., etc.

The land of forever..."Shangri-La"...the magical dreamplace far away beyond the mountains...the Kingdom of eternal youth, gave the title for this work.

Recomposition of Hey Jude by JOSEPH FERRANTE in General Discussions by davisrr

This treatment of the song has been completely changed rhythmically and harmonically to obtain a very different song which hardly keeps any resemblance to the original one.

Only the lyrics and the singing melody remain untouched. The rest is another song altogether. The piece has been practically recomposed. In other words, another song was composed where the singing melody of the original song would perfectly fit.

An ethereal choir lays the carpet upon which the rest of the arrangements would rest.

A mixture of classical scales, indian music, greek music, latin bachata, mambo and flamenco brings the song into reality.

On top of an obstinate percussive tempo softened by a romantic bachata rhythm, we hear the sometimes sweet and sometimes savage expressions of the guitar telling us a story...

The third part of this recomposition gives the guitar the chance to break free from the melodic structure.

After a fierce battle in the oceanic winds against creatures of all sorts, we hear the guitar rest on an ingenuous final chord which, in the sunset is the herald of a peaceful starry night...

This Hey Jude was born to reach music lovers of all backgrounds and ages.

This Hey Jude is a child of the heart and is meant to reach the hearts...comes from the depths of the soul and from there calls out to the depths of any other soul....

The owners of the copyright for the original Hey Jude (Sony Music Publishers) were so delighted by this recomposition that granted Joseph Ferrante a publishing agreement for it, thus allowing him to restructure the song. It is important to notice that on very few occasions copyright owners have granted a permission to alter a song protected by them.

Concerning this Hey Jude of Joseph Ferrante, Richard Dunn of BBC World service commented: ¨I must say I found it a very original and quite virtuoso arrangement¨. Sam Winwood of Sony Entertainment (UK) Limited said: ¨I was really impressed with the quality of the performance and your new arrangement¨. Andy Turner of London Capital Radio went on to say: ¨I found it a very interesting arrangement¨.

For a 40 seconds preview of the song go to: http://ferrrantemusic5.byethost13.com

You will only listen to the first part of the song. The most thrilling part of the song, the last part, is not heard on this preview.

Top Music Producer & Songwriter

Just finished producing a pop album which I co wrote for a young female artist due for release in 2012.

I only work on projects tied to a major label or serious budget (investment), and only use the best session players, engineers and studios.

If an artist/band is good enough I can co-write a full top end album and produce the whole thing to a finished/mastered radio ready (album chart) product, but to create anything of worth a full year has to be looked at as a realistic time frame to write and produce a good enough album to release.

If the material is already written then the time frame could be less.

Details/Music/Recent Projects avaialble on request.

Main instruments:

Piano, Wurly, Hammond, Keys and Bass.

Also play acoustic and electric guitar.

Brass Arrangements, Strings, Drum Production etc..

Experienced with tours and studio work all over the world with top names and top studios.

Tight player, great feel, good sense of humour, perfectionist and very honest about the work im suited for.

So then why are you advertising on joinmyband and gumrtee? Do you think major labels/artists/hideously rich people looks for the likes of people like you on joinmyband or gumtree?

A brutal heat in General Discussions by chenmo31

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Apparently the Brett Favre saga in Minnesota is not yet over. Authentic Troy Polamalu Jersey . FoxSports.com reports that the currently retired quarterback could still be a Viking by the end of August. Favre told Vikings head coach Brad Childress in late July that he was not ready to make another comeback, but a FoxSports report on Monday indicated that many in Minnesotas camp believe the former Packer star will be back in the NFC North by the time the regular season rolls around. According to the FoxSports.com story, unnamed players in Vikings camp believe it will be when, not if, Favre will return. "Im telling you its already done," one Viking was quoted as saying in the story. "I dont think anyone here doesnt think that." Favre, who turns 40 in October, spent the 2008 season with the New York Jets, then announced his retirement for a second time in as many years. He first retired as a Packer following the 2007 campaign. After a disappointing end to the 2008 season with the Jets, Favre underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn biceps tendon affecting his throwing shoulder. He apparently played with that injury in the final five games of last season, when the Jets won just once and went from playoff contender at 8-3 to missing the playoffs completely at 9-7. The three-time MVP wanted to play last season with Minnesota after deciding to end his first brief retirement. The Packers, though, traded him to the Jets. Favre spent 18 seasons in the NFL and starred for 16 years with the Packers, who acquired him from Atlanta before the 1992 season. He threw four passes in two games with the Falcons, who had selected the Southern Mississippi product in the second round of the 1991 NFL Draft. The ultimate gunslinger, Favre was a seven-time All-Pro and was selected to 10 Pro Bowls, including this past season with New York. He left the game as the NFLs all-time record holder in several categories, including wins by a starting quarterback, passing yards, touchdowns, interceptions and consecutive games started. Favre completed 61.6 percent of his passes for 65,127 yards with 464 touchdowns and 310 interceptions. He led the Packers to a pair of Super Bowls, winning his lone title after the 1996 season in a 35-21 victory over New England. The Packers lost to Denver in the Super Bowl the following season. Ed Reed Jersey . That was the case for Toronto FC in Week 12 of the 2011 season as they headed to Colorado to play against the reigning MLS Cup Champions on Sunday. A.J. Green Womens Jersey . MOSCOW - A brutal heat wave was continuing in central Russia with temperature rising to 40C, meteorology services reported Thursday. The hot weather was expected to hit Moscow and other regions off central Russia from July 23 to 27. Joe Flacco Womens Jersey. The current temperatures exceed the norm by 7-9 degrees, meteorology services said. This summer in Russia has already been tagged as the hottest in 130 years. ' ' '

Bordeaux, which had won only one of its last four league games, was beaten 4-2 at Rennes last weekend and lost to Monaco at home in the French Cup earlier in the week. Striker Marouane Chamakh, who has been linked with a move to Arsenal next season, put Bordeaux ahead in the 12th minute when he rose above Saint-Etienne defenders and headed home from Wendels free kick. Wendel extended his teams lead in the 28th minute with a curling 25-metre free kick past goalkeeper Jeremy Janot. Saint-Etienne midfielder Bakary Sako pulled a goal back with a powerful free kick from outside the box just before halftime and his side progressively took a grip on the game after the interval. Argentine striker Gonzalo Bergessio missed a penalty in the 72nd minute after a handball by Chamakh and Saint-Etienne paid the price six minutes later when Wendel scored from close range following a swift counterattack. "We ended a negative run," France and Bordeaux playmaker Yoann Gourcuff said. "Even if we are not fully reassured by our game, our organization on the pitch was far better tonight." Bordeaux has 51 points, three more than second-place Montpellier, which beat Grenoble 1-0 on Saturday to claim a fifth consecutive win in the league. Saint-Etienne lies in 16th place with 23 points, six above the relegation zone. Andre Johnson Jersey. Earlier Sunday, Poland striker Ireneusz Jelen scored the winner as Auxerre moved up to sixth place with a 1-0 win over Rennes. Auxerre, which has 42 points from 24 games, recovered from a 5-0 humiliating loss at last-place Grenoble last weekend and kept up its bid for a European spot next season. Auxerre created plenty of chances and saw its efforts rewarded when Jelen, who had scored a hat-trick earlier this week in the French Cup, found the net with a 35-meter drive following a bad clearance from goalkeeper Nicolas Douchez in the 42nd minute. "The team is strong and Jelens goal just before halftime came at the right moment," Auxerre midfielder Delvin Ndinga said. Toulouse, playing without France striker Andre-Pierre Gignac after he was sidelined for three weeks with a groin strain, secured a 1-1 draw at Lorient courtesy of a late goal from midfielder Daniel Braaten. Kevin Gameiro had notched his 10th goal of the season with a low shot from the edge of the box to put Lorient ahead in the 55th minute after being perfectly set up by Sigamary Diarra. Braaten levelled in the 78th minute with a superb right-foot volley from Daniel Congres cross. On Saturday, third-place Lille beat northern rival Boulogne-sur-Mer 3-1 to stay in the title race with 44 points while seven-time champion Lyon moved on to 43 points with a 1-0 win over Lens three days before hosting Real Madrid in the Champions League.
