Best place to get amp revalved?

Is Kempsters the best place to get amps revalved round these parts does anyone know? My Fender Hot Rod Deluxe is crackling like a bastard once the valves warm up and tapping one of the power valves seems to confirm it's the culprit. I want to get it sorted out before i sell it.

I'll point Neil in the direction of this thread, he'll have the answers!

I'm no expert but... power valves generally need to be biased, so unless you're a dab hand with electricals then I'd recommend getting someone who knows what they're doing to sort it. Simon Law (now working at Kempsters) is brilliant. Have a look on google to see if you can pick up a matched pair of power valves for the amp - they're definitely cheaper online. Watford Valves are worth a look: http://www.watfordvalves.com/

Recently had bad experience with Watford Valves, after shelling out for some very expensive ones, and returning several pre-amp valves, which are easy to change, Power valves as mentioned will probably need biasing, Suggested Daves Amps somewhere else around here.. he's been very good...

Saying that, it'll have Groove tubes in it, look for the colour dot, probably blue or White, and get some more... easy peasy..

Took it into Kempsters in the end and they sorted it out for me. Sounds fantastic once again! : )
