Seems to have been a bit of a backlash against this album, I really like it, I do concede it would've sounded better if the band had added "Supercollider" and "The Butcher" to it but as 8 tracks and 37 minutes it works, it's an album in the old fashioned sense, a band who didn't just try and fill 70 minutes of playing time to satisfy those who still buy their music on CD.
Ed O Brien has quashed all those rumours about a swift follow up album.... or has he? his comments confirm that there aren't 8 songs left over from the King of Limbs sessions ready for release, however given there are quite a few songs that have been written (Present Tense in particular) it's entirely feasible the band will return to the studio and record more material, maybe we'll get more one off digitial singles (such as 2009's "These Are My Twisted Words"

or perhaps an EP, or maybe Thom will release another solo album.
In the meantime I'm enjoying "The King Of Limbs" rather than worrying about when the follow up is due,, still the most consistent band of the past few decades in my book.
