I will be following the usual pattern when Radiohead release an album. Listen, dislike, ignore, revisit six months later, like. So er....I will give my thoughts sometime in August.

I've been listening to it non stop. So good!

I like it

I think it suits being 8 tracks long as well

37 minutes is about right, it's quite intense in places

Seems to have been a bit of a backlash against this album, I really like it, I do concede it would've sounded better if the band had added "Supercollider" and "The Butcher" to it but as 8 tracks and 37 minutes it works, it's an album in the old fashioned sense, a band who didn't just try and fill 70 minutes of playing time to satisfy those who still buy their music on CD.

Ed O Brien has quashed all those rumours about a swift follow up album.... or has he? his comments confirm that there aren't 8 songs left over from the King of Limbs sessions ready for release, however given there are quite a few songs that have been written (Present Tense in particular) it's entirely feasible the band will return to the studio and record more material, maybe we'll get more one off digitial singles (such as 2009's "These Are My Twisted Words"; ) or perhaps an EP, or maybe Thom will release another solo album.

In the meantime I'm enjoying "The King Of Limbs" rather than worrying about when the follow up is due,, still the most consistent band of the past few decades in my book.

I really like it, but I guess I listen to a lot of the same music as Thom Yorke.

Wasn't aware of any "backlash", just a fucking stupid NME article written by a typical idiotic NME journalist who doesn't have the first clue about music or the industry who's just discovered Four Tet.

Another new Radiohead track online (and taken from the Basement sessions performance) it's entitled "The Staircase" and it's as good as anything on the King of Limbs

It is interesting that Radiohead have written and recorded

Supercollider, The Butcher, The Daily Mail, Present Tense, These Are My Twisted Words and now The Staircase but seem happy to release 1 as a free mp3, two on a ltd single and the others exist merely as bootlegs.

They've always been like that though - take "Talk Show Host" for example. And "Nude" was available as a bootleg for ten years before In Rainbows dropped
