Neck pickup: P90 vs humbucker

Currently modding my Ibanez; better electronics, better hardware basically. Planning to rout out the neck pickup cavity so I can put a full-sized humbucker or P90 in it (going to add a partial scratchplate too, so I can hide the joins as it were). Just wondering about the advantages and disadvantages of having a P90 in the neck and a humbucker in the bridge...

I have never liked the thick and somewhat muddy sound you get from a 'bucker in the neck position, My last Les Paul had a P90 in the neck posistion and a PAF at the bridge, made it an awesome guitar.
Makes a guitar a lot more versatile.

But that's just my humble opinion! : )

Versatile is good. I'm intending this to be a backup guitar so the more verstility the better!

Well, I've got me some new pickups... both Irongear. A Platinum 90 for the neck and an overwound Rolling Mill 'bucker for the bridge. : )
