That's a fine album, Marion were a cracking live band back then as well, shame they snorted away what talent they had. I think they reformed a few years back but split up again.

Today I've been enjoying

Yuck - Yuck
Tom Waits - Swordfishtrombones

Cold War Kids - Robbers and Cowards

A shame they never built on this album, the second album was patchy, the new material is awful, this on on the other hand was a cracking little album.

It is a strong album, 8 tracks, short and sweet, I've listened to it several times and it's a real grower

New Order - Temptation

A song with at least three choruses and each one of them a blinder.

Llama Farmers - Jessica

Dug it out after years. An underrated band in many ways, they had some great songs, but some terrible ones too. Jessica is great though. Fuzzy power-pop goodness.

I have also found myself listening to the shiny, redneck, nashville sounds of Brad Paisley. God knows why. He's a cracking guitarist, but I think this falls into the "guilty pleasure" category.

My brother's got me into some old Billy Joel (or basically, original versions of anything Me First and the Gimme Gimmes have covered) Only the Good Die Young - brilliant song.
