Pocketstudios – recommendations?

We have someone leaving work next week, and are thinking of buying them a digital portastudio. We’re on target for a Tascam DP004 – has anyone used one of these? If we raise closer to £200 are there any other recommendations?

Haven't looked at multitrackers since I bought my Fostex cassette 4-track back in 1992!

Nope, that looks pretty sweet. The Boss Micro-BR is suposed to be good as it has built in guitar effects, drum loops etc but it doesnt have the inbuilt mics of the Tascam. It's about 50 quid cheaper though, so if the whip round dioesnt quite stretch... : )
