i dunno about anyone else but i had a great weekend, first time i've managed to catch more than a bit of Saturday.

I didn't manage to make every session, but thoroughly enjoyed what I did see, worthy of a mention were.

Millin's knickers, Skiddy's laddered stockings, & on a musical level

Buswell & strings totally blew me away, Sweet Plums as well.

Special thanks to Pete Sick Monkey, for joining me on an Old Town drinking & playing tour on Saturday. Honorable mentions to Wol (harmonica & snoring), Bob Bowles & Pete Volkerstien for helping me out at the vic, & Dave & Anna & the staff, & all at the Hive & Castle.
Also worthy of a mention is Debs Donkersly for ringing me at 6am to tell me how she was looking forward to my set & then arriving after i'd finished.

Always great to see venues packed out for local bands, especially on a Sunday.

Managed to catch Thursday night and most of Saturday at The Vic and I had a top time!!

Highlights for me were Kova Me Badd's version of Van Halen's Jump (just.fucking.brilliant!!) and getting to jam twice in a day with Mr Doza...great fun!! : )

Not to mention the drinking and chatting and chatting and drinking. (Yes, Mr Doza, you feature heavily in this too ha ha)

Thanks for letting me 'play' a set on Saturday afternoon, it was such a laugh, much better than I thought it would be and it's always good to know that you can amble on stage on a Saturday afternoon and a pub full of people actually appear to enjoy being sworn at for around 30 minutes ha ha

Top stuff, cheers folks : ) : )

Great weekend. Great turnout. Great bands. And great to be part of something so special whilst raising a whole load of cash for charity!

Particular favorites were Sam Bates and Charlie Bath but best of all was Good Things Happen In Bad Towns. Truely memorable set full of fun and dancing.

Would like to express personal graditude towards all bar staff at the venues, and mega respect has to go towards Dave and others for spot on sound engineering throughout the whole weekend.

Hope to be back in Swindon next year to do it all over again.

Correction: Samual* Bates.

Yeah you'd BETTER get my Nom de Musique right, boy. Or I'll set the leeches on you...

Ahem. I only caught the Friday in full, it was superb. Amazing lineup, The Dacoits absolutely tore me a new one. Sold out by 8.30! Incredible atmosphere, was a massive party from start to finish. I caught a few acts at the Hive on sunday afternoon, I really really enjoyed Lavington Bound. Just the right sort of ramshackle, really entertaining. Same goes for the Sweet Plums, really. Well done Shuffle Committee, well done venues, well done bands, ace. I loved playing the Friday night! 200 people in the room at 8.30!

I had a great weekend. Played it for the first time and was warmly welcomed by the crowd. Got my picture in the paper which thoroughly impressed my mother-in-law. Saw some friends do what they do best and found out that some of those friends are actually extremely talented. Had a fun, impromto jam with Doza and Onesickmonkey. All in all a fun weekend and I can't wait until next year. Is it too early to get my application in?

From what I saw it was an awesome weekend. Really grateful to be a part of it again, even worth the headache of getting over half the band down from London in various cars, trains and coaches!

Hope it raised a shedload for the respective charities.
