But anyway, lots of good points on here - Maybe I got to scale down my ambitions?! Im certainly not having a dig at anyone on here - we are all passionate music fans, I just somewhat assumed thee would of been a wider community and that I had finally got a band genuinely noticed by it! Alas it was not to be!

Stick with it mate, and as far as finances allow, put on what your heart and head is telling you to put on.

It is hard in Swindon; we put up a s**t load of cash (and I mean, lots) for Judge Jules thinking that would be a sell out and we ended up losing about £700 in one night. Ouch. Still, these things happen and, like you, we've never done Serotonin for the money, it was always about putting on a night we wanted to go to but that nobody else was doing.

The sad thing is that I live 1 minutes walk away from The Vic and was really keen to see TTNG after hearing their MySpace stuff but I was hit with five hour's worth of urgent work for a client about an hour before I was about to finish work for the day and wander along. Gutted : (

Without people like you, Swindon would be an even worse cultural desert. Chin up and on to the next one : )

This is true. I salute such endeavour.

Agreed

I tip my hat to anyone who puts that much effort into putting on gigs, I did it for long enough and still do in a more reduced and admittedly less risky manner.

I'm Tom Himself, and I hate most types of music.

...OK, maybe that's an exaggeration. I guess what I'm trying to say is that is why I didn't come along. I also want to smypathise, and let you know that it's also true for Swindon's Rock and Metal scene. People claim to want it, and simply don't when the option presents itself.

Sometimes us media blokes can't make all the events: I saddly have to miss out the new EP launch from ITAOL this Fridat because I promised Mortdelamer I would go to thier album launch. I like being this busy, because I love to support local bands.

Chin up, man! It's gotta get better someday!

Problem is, people just assume everything in Swindon is shit. Generally spot on, but it's such a shame that the attitude carries over to local music.

I'm personally going to war with my show. We're going to crush apathy...if I can be bothered ; )

Musicians should be allowed to carry guns.
