New Foals album

Foals are great (I know a few people on here think they are shit, fair enough, their opinion) those early 7"'s "Hummer" and "Mathletics" were crackers, so was the "Balloons" single and the "Antidotes" album also.

Looking forward to hearing new material from Yanis and the lads.

If I can get over the facts that:

a) every song is a rip off of a better song by a better band

and

b) they supported my old band at riffs and sounded like a police tribute!

Then I have to admit, they are pretty good. I'd like to see what a couple of years' maturity and touring does to them - if they really find "their" sound rather than just an underground indie tribute wet dream, this album could be pretty special.

I forgot they'd supported TCA.

I think they are doing just fine, pretty certain the new album will be even better than the first and some of the hype surrounding them has died down leaving them to get on with making great music.

Saw them live last summer and was not impressed to be honest but I never gave the album a proper listen so I am prepared to give them a second chance. : )

I've probably never heard the songs they're paying tribute to but I really liked their last album - nice use of effects on the guitars and I'm a fan of their drummer. Can't wait for their new album.

They do rip off various Gang of Four, Sweep The Leg Johnny, Josef K, Medium Medium and Cure records but I still love em.

I LOVE FOALS!!!

Can't wait for this album! Lack of Tunes?! These are my favourite moden near perfect indie band!

Super stoked about this. Mind you live... they were amazing, then were increable, then well lost their way... But I expect them to return to form!
