Reply to Post 28369 by Ace_Of_Bass in Formula 1 circus Well that race was a bit good - until the FIA decided to give Hamilton a 25 second penalty and demote him to third. F1 is a farce and positions are no longer decided by the race but by the officials who will stop at nothing to get a Ferrari world champion. Hamilton did nothing wrong. He was forced to cut the corner and then dropped back before over-taking at the next corner.

Totally agree. for those that dont know:-

About 6 laps from the end Hamilton had the run on raikkonen into the bus stop chicane, he went round the outside on the first section and therefore had the inside line for the next section, whereupon, Raikkonen just pushed him off the circuit. Hamilton had to use the run off area and came out of the chicane in front (As he should have been anyway), he slowed down to allow Raikkonen past, then overtook him again into the braking zone. Rain came and Raikkonen proved what a crap driver he is by ploughing his car into the wall and Hamilton came in first. The Stewards decided that Hamilton had gained an unfair advantage and docked him 25 seconds making him third.

F1 is one of the most corrupt sports in the world now. It is run by Ferrari.

Ron Dennis confirmed with Charlie Whiting that they had broken no rules and he confirmed that all was okay.

Shambles, they should hang their heads in shame.

It's just total bollocks really.
Looking forward to Sunday, hopefully Hamilton can make up for it.

Such a good race today, not sure about the circuit, and I hope they dont start to make more night races. But it was full of drama.

Massa's pit stop was fantastic, the ferrari team running to catch up with him to the cheers of the McLaren team was briliant. I wonder how long Ferrari will stay with the semi-automatic release lights? Not much longer I would think.

Realistically he's out of the title running now, it'll take a big push to get a result. But Ferrari'll be crying into their Italian leathers, well and truly 'dicked on' : )

Alonso and Hamilton both drived superbly today. Can't wait for Japan.

Gotta agree.

And the comment at the end by Blundell when asked the obvious question was superb:-

"How comes Massa was given a drive through this time when he did exactly the same at Valencia and just got a little fine"

Blundell - "I wouldnt like to say, it is complicated"....

By that he meant the following:-

Because the Stewards fucked over McLaren and Hamilton and there was a massive uproiar, they fucking new that if they didnt give Massa a drive through then it would be obvious to the world that the FIA were Ferrari owned, so they had no choice but to give it......

All in all, I thought it was a brilliant race and Alonso thouroughly deserved the victory.

Well done to all, except stupid raikkonen, who once again, showed how talentless he really is......

Yeah very true.
And I totally agree about Raikkonen, he's a useless oik, that crash today was ridiculous, he may as well have been asleep. And judging by this, he's a miserable bastard as well.

Am I the only one who found that track a little bit shit? It's worse than the Hungaroring.

Most of the action came from the pitlane.

mental race today, so much going on. If you've not seen it yet, don't read on!

My dislike for Massa has grown immensley today, this comment on the Telegraph website made me laugh;

'It will be interesting to see the outcome of the enquiry into the Massa incident on the pit lane exit where he was spun, maybe the stewards will award him a GAIN of 25 seconds, or perhaps simply decide he was bound to make up enough ground to pass Alonso so simply award him the race.'

And if Lewis Hamilton wasn't so heartbreakingly goodlooking i'd be very disappointed in him, although don't really believe he deserved the drive through penalty. Lets just hope he can pull it out the bag in Shanghai.

On the other hand, Alonso thoroughly deserved his win, and Kubica drove superbly as well, although felt sorry for Glock and Coulthard today, especially seeing as though Coulthard is so near to the end of his career.

If Hamilton can just sort out his 'one knock and i'm going to go to pieces' mentality, that he shares with Amir Khan! He should be able to pull it off, I really hope he does.

Gotta agree, but oh dear, I hope this isnt a little bit of Deja Vu (or however ot is spelt - hahaha) coming on. But I cannot understand a couple of things that happened:-

1: What exactly did Hamilton do wrong at the first corner other than outbreak himself? How many times have we seen drivers outbreak themselves with no penalty???????!!!!!!! very strange.

But even worse than that is point 2 below

2: Why on earth did they give Bourdais a drive through, he was in race position and it was up to Massa to get past him? My only obvious conclusion was that he was in front of a Ferrari and Massa needed the extra points.

What a sanctimonious bunch of sour faced fuckwits the FIA really are.........
