Saw this the other night, not sure whether its gonna end up on general release or not, if not get it on DVD when it comes out. Its Julien Temple's prequel to his Sex Pistols & Joe Strummer films.

Spinal Tap's got nothing on this, its all for real, as told by the surviving band members, all now in their late 50's or early 60's.
A few classic quotes:-
Wilko Johnson on playing at Wembley Stadium ( backing Heinz of Tornadoes (Telstar) fame)
"This is cool, i was a schoolteacher last week"
The Big Figure (Drummer) on the sleeve for the first album - Down by the Jetty
We did a black & white fotoshoot on the way back from a gig as the sun was coming up & got the best pic when the singer fell asleep, the record company took some colour shots another day & wanted to use them, so i accidentaly spilt my coffee on them & the negatives.
Wilko Johnson on their number one album - Stupidity (Live)
They wanted to record a live album by micing us up like in a studio, i suggested they just hung a couple of mics above the audience, they wen't with my idea hoping the album would flop & they could then control the band, it wen't straight to number one in the charts.
I really need to get more Dr Feelgood albums
To my eternal shame I only own a compilation of the singles which came out years ago.
"Roxette" "Riot In Cell Block 9" "Going Back Home" "Back In The Night" "Milk and Alcohol", some cracking tunes on there.
Been chatting to my mate Rich about them, we're both pretty certain Gang of Four's Andy Gill must've been a fan of early Dr Feelgood, Wilko's guitar work on "Roxette" is very angular and post punk, considering it was 1975 that's pretty bloody impressive.
