Blimey someone else who remembers Blyth Power, I was beginning to think I'd invented them in cheese fueled dream.

New Beginnings again.

Hay! So it's all been going nicely with new singer Becca with a good three gigs under our belt and the usual open mics. Unfortunately and sadly guitarist Charlie has now left. It's the classic 'musical differences'. So we are on the lookout for a new one. With Roge out of it for the next month with the whole honey moon thing, Becca and I will be getting on with recording the second album 'Songs Of Woe And The Like'. A demo of the title track 'Songs Of Woe And The Like', (surprisingly) with Tor's vocal is up now to listen too.
Our next major engagement will once again be at The Bear Inn in Wincanton for the Discworld Spring Fling. With Discworld in mind, the album of Discworld songs has not worked out quite as was originally discussed. We will be doing something at some point but it is not clear what or for when or how available it will be. The blame is going to Hollywood. We have for now put up the demos of the songs we played at Hogswatch along with a new one and sure to be a crowd pleaser, 'Gold'. We have written four more Discworld tunes to be performed, look out for the demos of these over the next couple of weeks. The Spring Bash will also be the last gig we do with Tor before she passes the baton to Becca (who is also a Discworld fan) completely. and for our last few songs we will have both of them up singing.

Onwards and upwards.

Still hanging in there..... (hopefully)

Hey all. Another slow few months with potential guitarists coming and going. The position is still available. We have a three more to put through their paces. Fingers crossed as ever. It is however sounding back up to scratch with the three having done a couple of lo key parties, one for old member Mimi Bell who once again joined us on the piano for a few tunes. The big one we were preparing for was the headlining slot at Treefest which was a fantastic performance for all, very well received by the crowd and a large amount of Cd's sold. Very satisfying indeed. This band is not over yet.
And as the gigs come to an end for the mo, the focus id now on recording the second album. It has been started and scrubbed a couple of times, primarily due to the faithful old mixing desk finally dying. It is now completely written and is as follows.

1. Songs Of Woe And The Like
2. Combe
3. Happy Faces
4. With God On Our side
5. Ol' Banjo
6. The Light That Illuminates All
7. Roderick
8. To Mary Sweet Annabelle
9. Here Comes The Apocalypse
10.Nefarious Carpenter
11.Gotta Kill The Braincells Somehow
12.Instead

A good mix of older sounding songs and new sounds, introducing the melodion, some fiddle, some piano and the odd string quartet chucked in. Who knows when it will be finished? Hopefully early next year. The priority for now is to get the first three done to send off for next years festivals. Demos of Ol' Banjo and The Light That Illuminates will be going up when I have finished typing

The Discworld album is nearly written. I am just putting the finishing touches to 'Lo The Infidels Flee The Wrath Of Om', which hopefully by the time its recorded will have a full choir, and 'A camel's Tail', about the Disks greatest mathematician, You Bastard. We have a year left to record this so it will probably be done slowly. Expect some or them up before Hogswatch.

Apart from the recording we will be trying to get to some folk clubs and open mics, hopefully with a complete line up to try out some of the new, new songs as we have been playing some of the old new songs for a couple of years now.

Hope to see you soon.
