Taylor v Waites

Ladbrokes have Taylor at 1/50. Might put £200 on him and get a McDonald's breakfast on the way to work tomorrow.

I never have never understood all this betting malarky (sp?) 10/1, 100/30 blah blah blah but whatever...don't get a McDonalds anything...think of your taste buds, your insides, f**k it think of the children. Anything...just don't do it.

You'll thank me one day : )

EDIT: I struggle with English too.....

I don't even like McDonald's breakfasts, so we're ok there. Oh and for betting, if you put on the second number and it comes in, you win the first. : )

i reckon taylor has to be a candidate for greatest sportsman of all time. i can't think of anyone else in the post-war era who has dominated their sport for twenty years. in terms of approaching perfection in his craft, i don't think anybody can match him.

Agreed that he's a bit good, but I'd question whether darts is really a sport?

ah, that old debate. i think it is. granted, it's not as physical as football or athletics or tennis etc. but stuff like snooker and golf and archery are considered sports so why can't darts be? besides, i've played darts for hours on end and it's knackering! fair play to anyone who can keep that up to a standard like he does for two decades.

I agree. Athleticism should not be essential to a game for it to qualify as a sport. Any competitive discipline qualifies in my eyes. And Taylor's right up there with the Woodses and Federers of this world.
