Drum Program for the Mac?

Reply to Post 54780 by MisterUrOnFireMister in Drum Program for the Mac? EZ Drummer has a mass of loops and decent enough sounds, is standalone and not too pricey. Plus, you can use it with the awesome Superior Drummer sample sets (which I've just started using, and are amazing). Beware though, the Superior stuff is very CPU, RAM and HD intensive. Sounds brilliant though.

well said sir

yeah- if you're after real sounding drums- this is the best stuff i ve found so far - plus loads of good midi loops and fills you can re arrange

Have been using NI Battery of late and think it's the danglies. It is a bit geeky though and depends on a good midi controller with low latency mind you. It does random, odd and weird as good as it does the glossy stuff. You can mangle your sounds with some lovely effects and you can also load in your own samples.

To me, it just feels more er, 'feely' and behaves like a real kit not just sounds or looks like one. Some of the NI sounds are quite thrilling and if you're into sonic/soundtracky stuff, you'll love them.

Perfect for drummers who can't be arsed to lug their kit around or fit a gong orchestra into their bedroom.
