Good day swindon!

Names Luke, i play Guitar, Harmonica and sing in Malcolm and the capri's. I know 4 chords and know how to waste half our set while our drummer fixes his drum kit because he hits it too hard too often..
I watch hours of Mark Knopfler and Eric Clapton on youtube and like to repeat the words "bastard" and " for fucks sake" teamed with occasional loud "tuts" and rolling of eyes.

I like polo shirts, cheese cake and sunglasses but my heads a wierd shape and i dont suit them...

Thats pretty much my personality.. I'll be making the odd comment on this forum that people will find hard to understand and i'll often entertain myself by quoting David Brent and agreeing with people who think Kate Nash is a lyrical genious.

Hi I'm JB. Much nearer 50 than 40. Used to watch Punk bands at the Affair (Those were the days). Dont get out much these days but glad to see there is so much live music in the area.

I like Indie, Metal, Classic rock.... Muse, Foo Fighters, Iggy Pop.... Cant Stand Coldplay

Currently booking bands for the Wanborough Show. Its a villagy type event so someone who sounds a bit like coldplay will do nicely

I did join this a while ago but had to register again, so I have two intros in this section. dweeb.
My name is Holly, I play in a band called The Shebeats - who get a bit of stick for sounding like "Sheilas Wheels" but that's changed a lot in recent months. We used to play 60s pop stuffs but it's very different now. I've also got a solo myspace that's mellow fuddy duddly tinkly stuff (www.myspace.com/hollypartridge) but wouldn't have the savvy to play it on me tod.
I appreciate most sonic offerings but not such a fan of reeeally heavy stuff.

Ah, the Furnace Forum, those were the days, I remember joining that in 2004 whilst off work with a back problem, many an hour spent on there discussing the genius of The Fall, I sometimes wonder what happened to a lot of the people on there, some made it onto Swindon Music but some of the other characters seem to have vanished.

I'm Ashleigh. I'm 20 and I'm moving to Swindon in September from Australia. I'm interested in checking out what the music scene is like. Especially in the rockabilly, punk and swing genres. I've almost finished a Associate Degree in Music Studies majoring in voice at the Univeristy of Tasmania but I need some time away to travel. I'm interested in meeting other musicians and potential drinking buddies.
