I can't stand that Beyonce If I were a boy song, not only do I hate "soulful" R&B balads with the midi clap in it but the lyrics really piss me off (as well as many feminists I'd imagine). So full of self pitty. Oh and then the lyrics turn into a patronising you're a guy so you must be insensitive. Utter wank

It's everything I loath about music as disposable commodity. I hate that such a large percentage of humans are willing to settle for something so fucking soulless, halfarsed and cheap. I know there's not even any point being bothered by it, but f**k me it's awful! And you know how much of a sucker I can be for a well turned pop tune, however simple it might be, but there's no fucking excuse for s**t like that. Then again, supply and demand.... 8 )

and thats the reason I hate Radio One so much as thats how I view most of the stuff on there. And as for all those pop and R'n'B channels on Sky...they should put a running total in the top corner showing just how much industry money is being wasted on this vacuous crap minute by minute.

There is some fantastic music being made out there, yet daytime radio seem to ignore it, and I don't mean it has to be too "far out" pop music need not be a swear word.

Just look within this town, from the latest Lighterthief EP "Scream" is a fantastic piece of pop music that would sound great on daytime radio, it's intelligent and challenging pop but neverless it has a tune that postman's could whistle (when they're not on strike)

its all the ball licking that goes on radio one , artic moneys sorry i don't get there riffs they all go in the same 13 yo gutiar playing way, its fucking s**t if you ask me : ).

Pop doesn't need to be a dirty word at all. Almost everything I love revolves around great melodies, regardless of how noisy, weird or 'whatever' it might be.
