Sam's big gear clearout
..As in "music gear", not drugs.

Hi

I just looked at my bank balance. After they revived me, I realised I needed to part with some s**t to get money for things like food, housing. SO: here it is. The annual "Oh f**k I'm bankrupt" sale where I get rid of stuff I don't want to get rid of...

* Gibson USA SG Standard - 400 quid. There's another post about this on here somewhere, suffice to say THIS IS A FUCKING BARGAIN.

* Epiphone Valve Jr guitar amp - 50 quid. 5 watt all-tube combo, great for rehearsal/recording/small gigs.

* Akai Headrush Delay/looper - 75 quid. REALLY don't want to sell this : (. Brilliant tap tempo delay and fantastic live looper in one box. Used by Ed O' Brien (Radiohead), Joe from 65 Days Of Static etc. Great, great delay.

* Electro-Harmonix Germanium OD - 45 quid. Brilliantly quirky germanium transistor boost/OD pedal. Sounds fucking brilliant.

* Boss RV5 reverb pedal - 50 quid. Good reverbs, great for those of you with vintage amps without their own verb, or you soundscapers out there that need big hall-type sounds.

* Boss DS-1 distortion - 15 quid. A bit scratched, works fine.

* Diago Gigman pedal board - 50 quid. Great quality, easy to use, good condition, the best friend a gigging guitarist can have.

That's all for now folks. Come one, come all, pick my bones! x

Sam, I can do you a straight swap, your SG for my Epi SG, you'll then find the Epi SG much easier to sell at about £80

...makes sense to me ; )

Haha nice... great pedal. Even better after a good smoke, with four amps around you, all pinging the seperate delays around in a quadrophic headfuck-o-rama.... God I'm gonna miss doing that.

Update: It seems, after about 6 months(!) of trying, I've sold the SG!

Also to be added: THD Hotplate (8ohm) - 150 quid. Hardly used, but a brilliant bit of kit for getting a cranked amp sound at usable stage volumes! Reckon Mr. Haze could make use of this, that JMP needs taming! ; )

haha sam i met my mum for lunch and told her i was getting it and she said "you're buying a guitar before you pay me back?!?!?! what guitar is it? it best be bloody good!" i said it was a red sg and she replys "oh fair play in that case go for it and pay me back later!"

love it, but am going to be forced to drastically cut down on my drinking for a month but atleast i will have a decent guitar to play on to keep me entertained

if it was the 16ohm one i might have had that off you, though stage use wasn't what i had in mind.

if ive got 50 quid by time ive got paid i might go for the valve jnr! i need a little amp really.. playing guitar through a stereo (After selling my jcm 800 because i was skint and about to tour) sucks. and a wee valve amp may help fill the void!

will keep you posted
