Fri 17 Oct 2008 18:32
Its time to change the bass strings.. infact its the first time i've ever changed them and thats a good 6 years huhar! bit overdue i rekon!!

i want some good bright flatwound strings.. any recommendations? it'll be a while until they get changed again so ideally some that'll last.

My bass doesnt get alot of love but now its time..

cheers!

Tomastik Infeld's are nice and readily available (got them on my Jazz) although I'm liking LaBella's at the moment and using standards on my Precision : )

I've heard that the Rotosound flats are nice and bright though

I never change my strings. Only changed them once and that's because one snapped.

I always go for Rotosound rounds, more out of habit but I've always got on alright with them so never really changed. Better the devil you know and all that....
