And on the whole Cheryl Cole thing...I think her bandmate Kimberly Walsh is way more attractive *shrugs*

I also think the contestant Diana (who sang Hallelujah in the auditions) is ace, and HOT. She's like Kate Nash but way better.

nash *shudder* that nasty putting her in the same category.

I know I don't like Kate Nash, but I do think that Diana has the same sort of quirky edge - it's nice to see contestants (especially the girls) coming through with "different" vocal styles...there's only so many Mariahs and Leonas a nation can bear!

And I think the likes of Kate Nash and Amy Winehouse and even Adele and Duffy et al have at least paved the way commercially for girls with "bigger" and throatier voices etc in the current market.

I'm going to stop thinking about it now. It is only a s**t TV show after all...hehehehe

Reply to Post 30512 by Damien in xfactor Here's where I lose any credibility I might have had on here, lol! The wife and I have pretty much watched every episode since it began. We do every year. We're "that sad" that we even SKY+ it for when we're out, lol! But - sod it! I admit I like the format of the show. It's entertaining.

As for Ally, I've not seen him on the telly at the auditions, but I did hear that he's got a development deal with SONY BMG, so whether that affected his application, I have no idea. I'm sure he'll be able to answer, next time he's on here.

I totally didn't realise I didn't update anything on the outcome of that ''so called deal'' I was offered. After all the initial excitement about it all, it seems to have turned out abit misleading and overblown.

I went all the way to Camden for a meeting and basically found out after carefully talking and reading things over that this deal was not in the best interests of me, and what I would get in return out of it was not exactly reasonable in my own view. It looks as though I would probably be losing out more than gaining. Also they were not willing to add my band to the deal also. Just to clarify it was actually a subsidery label of Sony BMG not the actual Sony BMG themselves. At present things are not dead in the water with this yet but alot of it depends on how certain things develop in other areas before any improved terms are offered. So at present just keeping my options opened.

As for X-Factor, I spent 3 days in Cardiff getting through stage after stage of the pre- tele auditions and I was supposed to get a call when I made it past the final stage if they wanted you to meet Simon and co for the tele auditions. I never got the call, I probably missed the call as I'm never at home. Or I was either not good enough for tele or not bizzare enough. Mind you I was asked to sing and play a song on guitar for the Xtra Factor, I also had to introduce the show ''Welcome back to the Xtra factor'' and then wave my hands like aloon. Not sure if that made the air? I hope not, it would be so cringeworthy.
: )

I'm not saying this as a sore loser or anthing but it's a t.v personality show rather than a talent show. I mean how the the hell can you justify somebody like Leon Jackson as an overall winner over f**k knows how many thousands?

People like Leona Lewis and before her Will Young are probably the only credible winners in my opinion who offer something that really stands out.

At the end of the day they already know what type of singer they are looking for to win the show, they make that obvious by the producers and record company peeps telling thousands of really amazing singers before the tele stage's they ain't through. It didn't matter how good they were, they just say no without pretty much giving a reason. It's clear they didn't meet a criteria what they are looking for in this years winner. It's hardly a fair talent show really ain't it?

Why did they axe Fame Academy? It was at least a little more of a genuine talent show.

Agreed, and I love the way they "find" so many "crazies" in the audition stages, it's all so horribly staged. I dont feel bad for the people that dont get through (no offence dude), more the utter muppets that waste time voting for a predetermined conclusion...

I just find it hard how people like Cheryl Cole and Danni Minogue are deemed worthy enough in the business as judges, I mean for f**k sake, they are talentless slosh pots themselves. Bring back Sharon Osbourne, shes called Billy Corgan a c**t and everything. Good times!

Yes Adam, indeed. As I say, it's entertaining. Jees - Some people watch WWF Wrestling (which I totally don't get at all), but they tell me it's entertaining. Each to their own, lol!

I fucking hate the fact that all the stupid women in work come in on a monday morning and talk about this pile of s**t for an hour instead of doing any work. I would love to stand outside an audition and shoot every single one of the sad bastards queueing up to make a twat of themselves for 2 minutes of tv masturbation fame. In fact, I wont use a gun. I will use a crowbar, make it far better tv and give their misguided pushy parents something to really cry about. Surely the fact that their child is about to be outed as a talentless fuckwit in front of millions is reason enough to stop them pushing them towards it.

It's TV made by arseholes for other arseholes to ridicule the arseholes that appear on it which makes them even bigger arseholes than the arseholes on the show. I fucking hate all this reality tv shite. Arseholes : @ : @ : @ : @
Mon 6 Oct 2008 16:06
