Theo Walcott cracks a hat-trick in "England Play Well" shocker

I don't think we were as great as people are making out. No doubt they'll be a press over reaction tomorrow as per usual. We did play well and deserved to win but let's not forget they had 10 men for much of the second half and we still conceded to them.

It's a shame the Sun had to rewrite their 'England under-perform' article and campaign to out Capello but atleast it was a good solid performance.

F**K ME!! I bet no-one had us down for 4-1 and a Walcott hat-trick. Well done England! 10 men or not, that's a cracking result!

Considering the way we played against Andorra, I think most of England were just wondering how many we would lose by to Croatia. So, with that in mind, I am very happy with that result. Once Theo Walcott had scored the first goal we became a different team. Very confident, good passing and, at last, some belief coming back that we are quite good. Not brilliant , YET, but lets give Capello time.

Also, this result will at least make other sides we have to play sit up and take notice. By the time the World cup comes round we will be flying.....

I believe we deliberately played 'average' against Andorra (knowing it would still be enough to win) so that Croatia couldn't counteract Capello's game plan. If we'd played the same team and tactics as last night, then Bilic would have changed his formation to countract it. Capello didn't give him a chance. The teamsheets were only made public 40 mins prior to kick-off and Croatia didn't have time to change their game plan. Capello 1-0 Bilic! Nice one...
