Would love to give you a gig, but try www.myspace.com/sonicsanctuary as im sure they would dig what you do!

If you dont know them already, i will mail them and tell them to check you out!

Oh wow a reply!!! I had pretty much given up hope. Yeah I know the Sonic Sancturary people as I'm huge fan of Thought Forms. Ideally I would love to do something in Swindon just to reassure myself that experimental music is appreciated here. Unfortunately the feedback from promoters hasn't been particularly positive.

I played with Shit n Shine and Acid Mothers Temple ffs! Give me a gig!

I'm quite into noise stuff and the whole drone/doom thing and would love to hear some being played in Swindon, though I can't help you out with any gigs. Sorry!

I emailed them twice and sent a myspace message too. Its been quite a while and they have yet to reply. In fact out of all the people I've contacted the only reply I've had was from one guy who quite bluntly told me the only solo stuff they would consider putting on would be acousitc singer/songwriter stuff.

But thats what I love about this little project. It's there to show that one guy and a guitar doesn't always have to be the same old acousitc mor stuff. You can still be imaginative and make something special and innovative all on your own. Its kind of like what Lee Ranaldo said about early Sonic Youth. They only had cheap guitars and cheap amps but if you get the right tuning, turn the amps right up, stick a drum stick behind the strings and smack your guitar with a drum stick you get.... the beautiful sound of church bells!

there are enough people, think it's just a case of getting together and sorting something regular and trying to reach everyone who'd enjoy it.

can't imagine a promoter in swindon would touch any of it.

I've just been onto your myspace, always good to see Liars listed as an influence, sounds pretty good to me to honest, my promoting has taken a back seat for most of this year but I'm getting back onboard with things in 2009 so will see what I can do.

I'll have a think and maybe try and sort something out. I'm always looking for people with similar musical influences in Swindon.

I'll talk to the boys tonight.

Anyway here's our myspace,

My love for Liars is borderline homo-erotic. I think they're amazing. I went to some Swindon Shuffle stuff as a friend of mine was playing (John from the Carter Affair) so I would definitely be up for playing anything you have lined up next year.

Thanks adam. I had a listen to your band and it sounds really good. I've sent you guys a friend request.

I'm using this myspace now http://www.myspace.com/rajindermakesnoise
the old one was misleading as the title was the song name rather than the band name...long story.

It would be a tricky one to sell. In Swindon anyway. Still worth a go in my opinion, see who crawls out of their burrows (or bedrooms).

your love for a lot of things is homo erotic.

hey can I get a hold of a copy of your recordings Rajinder?

it's a shame I got no space on the lineup for the Sonic Sanctuary all dayer... but I will put you on soon. without a doubt.

maybe we could organise something NOISE NOISE SANCTUARY NOISE SONIC in Bristol together.

That sounds great. There's quite a few noise bands I'd like to put on again. We could get FMG down and I really would like Bromancer to play.

Go on put me on the line up for the all dayer. I'll play when doors open or something. I don't even need a stage as I like to play in the crowd and my soundchecks take like 2 minutes... I'll get you sloppy seconds on Thurston Moore?
Tue 9 Dec 2008 19:30
haha

I've got 11 bands playing and it could be a bit of a nightmare, depends really, if you're happy to play for about 10 minutes directly before or after someone then it might be feasible!

you should come down either way.

I'll email you my schedule via the wonder of facebook or something and YOU can let ME know what YOU think.
