This is close to being my favourite album of the year. Absolutely brilliant. Classic American rock sound done in a non-shitty way. Yeah it worships at the temple at the Springsteen a bit too much but f**k it, thats a good temple to worship at.

We've got our tickets to see them in Bristol in February, I can't wait. Just have to tolerate all the scene kids ...

I haven't been to the Academy 2 before, so I can't comment on the venue. I figured I've got to see them on this tour before they either become so big they're playing arenas or they split up due to all the pressures of success.

Saw em a couple of weeks ago at the LA2. Supported by Thge King Blues, which I thought was a slightly odd combination.

Gaslight were pretty good. Bit static to look at, but the songs were album perfect. Can't help thinking they are a bit of a C,G,A,F one trick pony though.. I should know : ) They have some cracking tunes though and they pulled them all out the bag.

King Blues, well frankly, they've lost it. They'd never hang a fuckin Landlord and that My Boulder song... that's just wank. Not bad live though, more interesting to watch than satring at Gaslight as they just stood there.

The barmaid had a finger missing. I was hammered but I remember this. She was also in band called "Laura Lost" .. She's Laura, I'm presuming the "Lost" part refers to the missing digit. I Myspace'd them for the sake of it, not bad.
