Used this on a few boards. Ignore posts and comments from people you're not er, 'in-tune' with.

Makes trolling pretty much a thing of the past.

I used to really like this on certain forums. Can get a bit confusing if you're missing a part of a debate or conversation, but excellent way of avoiding the shite if you don't wanna listen to it.
