It's an old thread, but a good one

Strawberry Switchblade were great, I bought a best of on cd last year with "Since Yesterday" and other classics, back in 1985 the 13 year old Mark E Moon had a bit of a thing for Strawberry Switchblade, i think it was something to do with goth girls playing guitars

I've mostly been listening to Seven Years On again and again and again and again...

Not out of some sort of weird vanity you understand, just because I've been trying to finish off some mixes, and they have to be tested in the car, on the ipod and wherever else I can find a stereo!!

I've also been listening to Jesus Lizard (pretty brutal stuff!) and the Hold Steady who have grown on me a bit. I've got 'Almost Killed Me' and the production is superbly meaty. I've spent two days trying to make the production on the Seven Years On stuff sound like it. To be honest with my equipment it's a little like trying to race Linford Christie with your shoes tied together, but I think I'm getting somewhere nonetheless! 8 )

I can't get enough of Kate Rusby's "The Village Green Preservation Society" at the moment....

I know it's the theme tune to Jam and Jerusalem but it's just such a good song. Any song which has the line "God save Strawberry Jam" has got to be a winner.

She's covered The Kinks classic? i reckon that could sound pretty good

Sparta - Wiretap scars

And a lot of Dashboard Confessional! Went to see him live last week!! Awsome. Although the crowd singing along to every song became a bit of a bore! (they even had to turn up the PA 8 ))

Sally, if you like the Village Green Preservation Society, got the album by the Kinks, it's got some amazing songs on it.

I've been listening to Wiretap Scars quite a lot too! It's a winner!
