Die! Die! Die! - Promises Promises

Cracking noise from New Zealand, part angular post punk, part noise pop with a dash of hardcore, works for me

The Cult - 'Love'

A masterpiece which sounds as good now as it did then.

Ah, The (Southern) (Death) Cult, bless em, well bless them right up until "Sonic Temple", they were a great band, i remember seeing them play "Sanctuary" on Top Of The Pops back in the summer of 85 and bought the 7" from Woolies not longer after, "Dreamtime" "Love" and "Electric" all cracking albums for different reasons, plus those great Death Cult 12" singles (Brothers Grimm, Gods Zoo) and of coure where it all started, 82's "Fatman/Moya" debut when they were the Southern Death Cult.

My fav Cult track was, and remains "Resurrection Joe" still got it on 12", I also need to get more Cult on cd as I only have the Pure Cult compilation and the Death Cult EP collection on CD, the rest on vinyl.

They should've split in 89 though

Oh my god he is the sexiest man EVER!!!! When I was pregnant with Miles I seriously did consider calling him Nirvana (whether it was a boy or girl!) it wouldve been awesome if I had have done but I expect a;ot of people wouldve taken the piss for obvious reasons!

I saw them at Oxford Apollo on the 'Electric' tour... they were majestic.

As you rightly say though, it all went downhill after that.

Breath Carolina - 'Show Me Yours'

This is the musical equivalent of a Creme Egg McFlurry.

And I think I mean that in a good way.

The album's pretty strong - it's all that type of thing. They do it well.

Currently listening to:

Morbid Angel - 'Blessed Are The Sick'

'Shadow! Shadow!'

Classic.
