i bought mine years ago and never really listened to it but since having the William Control album I wanted to dig it out!!!! Good Old Soft Cell!! God, I can remember going to see him when he went solo at Goldiggers in Chippenham and everyone was laughing at him!! I thought he was amazing...hes well small though!!!

Ha ha, I remember the 12" mix of "Tainted Love" which went on for bloody ages eventually going into their cover of "Where Did Our Love Go", always played at Wedding attended by me as a kid, I also remmber that track "Martin" which Annie Nightingale used to play on her radio one request show many years ago.

As for Chippenham Golddiggers, that was the scene of my first New College Christmas party circa 1988, yes I am an old bastard : )

I bloody loved Martin that was my fave back in the day!!! Mark you still aint as old as me mate so dont worry!!!!!

I havent heard "Martin" for ages, I might have to get a new copy of "The Art of Falling Apart", ha ha I don't mind being old (36) It means I can moan about the good old days of dancing badly to Skeletal Family records at Level 3 : )

I wish I'd heard it at all the weddings I went to as a kid as I only discovered it in the early 90s! Funnily enough, I played that very track at The Furnace Halloween party a couple of weeks ago but I did some pre-club digital trickery to cut a bit off the end of the song as it admittedly DOES outstay it's welcome a tad.. 8 )
