The Go - Whatcha Doin'

Classic Stooges-esque rock from the the late 90s, features a certain Jack White on lead guitar and brought to you by those awfully nice people at Sub Pop

A Day To Remember - 'Old Record'

Well happy they're finally playing a bit closer than Birmingham... Oxford Academy, 24th February 2009. Tickets for the whole tour are selling very fast so grab 'em quick if you want to see them (sort of) locally.

Ha ha

we'll agree to disagree about The White Lies... (we agree on a fair bit of music)

Shoegazey Stuff eh? There's some good stuff from back then (Slowdive, Swervedriver, The Belltower, Telescopes, My Bloody Valentine, Chapterhouse, Catherine Wheel, early Verve (esp "She's A Superstar"; ), Loop, Curve)... what's on the mixtape?

Really can't recommend Catherine Wheel enough. Love them - check out Eat My Dust You Insensitive Fuck, Shocking and Little Muscle from the Happy Days album.

I never actually got the shoegazing thing to be honest... What I'm gonna say is heresy right now but I tried many times to get into MBV's Loveless and just found it a tuneless noise and always skipped to the last track... I'm gonna go dig it out right now and give it another go tho.. ; )

It's a great album Daz although to be honest I actually prefer "Isn't Anything" the album MBV released prior to it (then again I think pretty much everything Kevin Shields has done since the "Sunny Sundae Smile" EP in 87.

About bloody time they released this new album
