Machines - Biffy Clyro

I'm not normally a big Biffy fan but I love this, esp the acoustic version I heard on Radio 1 this week. Proper rainy day music.

The Beatles - I Want You (She's So Heavy). 7 minutes and 44 seconds of pure genius. 40 years on and there's still no-one to touch them.

In honour of the '90s - The Charlatans' The Only One I Know. Belter.

Taken By Trees - Sweet Child 'O Mine

Possibly divisive cover and yes, its on a John Lewis advert, but Victoria Bergsman has a truly gorgeous voice. Her old band The Concretes released a pair of fantastic singles a few years back ('You Cant Hurry Love' and 'Seems Fine'). Well worth checking out.

Me and Sam were chatting about The Concretes last weekend, great band, Victoria's version of "Sweet Child Of Mine" is gorgeous.

Johnny Boy - You Are The Generation Who Bought More Shoes And You Get What You Deserve

Song of the decade in my opinion, shame the album is patchy but this is pure pop genius, I have played this track to death over the years but still never tire of it, what a bloody fantastic tune

Amazing tune. I remember being so excited when I heard this, thinking they would be my new favourite band. Unfortunately the album just didnt live up to this one single. What a one off song to produce though!
