I have been REALLY getting into supporting Swindon recently. Anyone who knows me, knows Spurs are my first team. Always have been and always will be. But, having lived here since 1994 and taking more of an interest of late (with Swindon my adopted 2nd team) I've found myself getting really excited following my local side!

I took my daughter to see her first ever live football match against Brentford and last night was almost unwatchable at times! Keeper off injured, own goal, 2-0 down on the stroke of half time, sending off... It seemed like the odds were stacked against us (I am allowed to say 'us' right)?

But good old Danny Ward and the rest of them who kept their cool for the penalties and now Wembley beckons.

Fantastic stuff for Swindon! Well chuffed!

Same as that. It was so good, I almost forgot about my various encounters throughout the day with some of the biggest pricks to ever claim to be Swindon fans. I hope there are more families and fewer cunts at Wembley.

You can say that again. Unbelievably, this is the first season in the last 7 that I haven't had a season ticket. Nothing to do with the team, just personal reasons. Typical!! I can't get my tickets til Friday, but I'll be on the phone at 9am. I'm going to have to do some jiggling but I'm renewing my season ticket for next season whether we go up or not BUT...we've never lost at Wembley. Anyone remember 1969? I do, I was there!

Well I'm still recovering from Monday. What a great night that was. Probably the best game i've ever witnessed live. Can't believe we won on pens and pulled it off at 2-0 down and a man short. Just shows what great spirit this team has. Onto Wembley. Got my ticket on Tuesday. Can't wait.

Me too. Shame that there will be loads of people there who haven't even been to a game this season or who haven't ever been at all but that's one of the joys of reaching Wembley. In some ways if we go up i'll probably remember Monday night more than Wembley. Strange but it was a night when the hardcore fans had something to shout about. It's what being a fan is all about.

I've been there for the semi finals and final in 90 and 93 and agree to an extent but trust me there is nothing better than seeing your team colours fill one side of wembley.
The 93 Tranmere away leg was something a bit special and we did not think we could beat that.
Then came the leicester game......It nearly killed me.

Don't knock the people who will come along to wembley, some will annoy but it's not like we have a thirty thousand seater stadium to fill every week.
I could not go anymore for work and money issues for years but I had a season ticket from the age of 8 to 16. sometimes things take over from football.

The people I talk of were not so much annoying as threatening with violence if you didn't queue up for their drinks for them or if you asked them to stop swearing and talking utter shite. I'd take the one-game-a-season brigade over those oxygen thieves any day of the week.
