Why didn't he ring ahead to make sure the VIP area was roped off before the bands arrival?

We just take our own velvet ropes and put them round us wherever we sit, it adds an air of mystery and exclusivity.

I'd expect a slap at the very least if I tried to hassle someone out of a pub sofa! : )

Shouting at people to get them off a sofa is so wrong...

Damien, just sit next to them and gently start rubbing your crotch and nipples. Make sure you have a grin on your face that allows a little bit of spittle to dribble from one corner of your mouth, and regularly giggle in a childs voice. After a couple of minutes look them in the eye and say "swapsies?".
I find this is the best way to get any seat I want in most pubs!!!!

Alas, I tried this once before. The lass was so distressed she impulsively married a bearded guitarist!

Yeah I thought that was a bit rude, but he's clearly in a land of confusion over what is acceptable rock star behaviour!
