What can I say? Everyone that was there knows that last night quite possibly topped any of last year's nights in terms of sheer spirit and atmosphere. The opening speech from Pete had me in stiches, as did 2 Sick Monkey's set, and Truth Be Told were fucking incredible. The mighty Luth put on one hell of a show, they really got the atmosphere crackling at times.

But I've got to say, The Parodies stole the night for me. I saw these guys at Riffstock, and was well impressed, but they've literally got twice as good since then! So much energy, getting tighter by the day and growing in confidence, they really seemed to step up to the occassion.

A stupidly good first night. Roll on 12Bar!

I thought it was a great night, I was a bit pissed. Made a few cock up's. They didn't matter though, it was all in good jest. I thought we layed down the johnson. I should really blow my own trumpet more often. Fnah fnah. All the bands gelled well together, all good tight heavy bands rocking out at my favourite venue. Excellent.

My first Shuffle Hangover : (

Last night was a fantastic start to the Shuffle, thanks to everyone for turning out in numbers (120 people were there inc the bands), great atmosphere, great performances from Truth Be Told, The Parodys and 2 Sick Monkeys and for me the highlight of the night Veer Luth, possibly the best gig i have seen Mark, Adam, Billy and Leeroy play.

Massive thanks to Andy for all his hard work, bring forth the 12 Bar : )

Yeah really good night.

Very happy to have been asked to open the whole thing. Cheers Rich, Paj etc... It was an honour for us. So bloody hot on stage though haha.

Sadly missed the start of Veer Luth set due to sweating like a bitch (see above comment) on stage and then had to leave early so missed some of 2SM set but thought all bands put their all into it and really opened up the event in excellent fashion.

Nice one. : )

It was indeed the perfect opening to the Shuffle. Missed my bros in TBT unfortunately, but the other bands were on top form.

I think all 4 bands played blinders (I am allowed to say that about my own band, my body is telling me we went for it last night). I think the commitee putting 4 similar genre bands on together was a winning move.
Pete talking about Dave was a weird moment - on one hand it took me back 20 years to being 15 and Dave buying me and a member of Kola Koca some booze when we should have been back at school, at the same time it made me realise how quick 10 years passes.
Everyone that knew him has a good Dave story.
