Happy 65th Mr Bowie
A true musical legend celebrates today
Sun 8 Jan 2012 10:45
Bowie is a legend, one of my favourite ever musicians, a great singer, great songwriter, great entertainer, they don't make popstars like Bowie anymore

That run of albums from "The Man Who Sold The World" in 1970 to "Scary Monsters" in 1980 was breathtaking at times.

For the Live Aid concert, they were supposed to duet across the Atlantic but because of satellite delays it wasn't possible to sync the performance.
Both are best considered for their equally brilliant other work, I was lucky to grow up listening to them and still have all my old vinyl.
Happy Birthday David and many happy returns.
