I would assume the show Cereal have there on the 11th December is still going ahead? So why are there no further upcoming shows on their website?

It's definitely still a venue, and this gig is, as far as Jim Lockey (the support) is concerned - still going ahead.

The new owner is called Clive, and is known to many, but I'm not too familiar with the chap.

I'm sure in due course there will be announcements regarding the venue and playing there - I just really wanted to go see Jim again, without travelling a long way, and need to know whether to bother coming, or if it'll be moved to another venue? Again - I want to know!!

No idea what happened to the 12 Bar website, I'd imagine the new owners would be launching a new one. I don't think anyone would seriously take that place on commercially without a name change and a proper relaunch come early 2012.

Pretty poor that a functioning venue doesn't have a functioning website - surely listings don't just go "missing"?

I guess that kind of depends who has access and who decided to take them off...

I checked the website a couple of days ago and all future events had been set not to display on the website. There is an automatic synchronisation of events on the website to the calendar on this website - when an event is added, updated or removed the change is mirrored on this site. This is why any future 12 bar events have been removed from the Swindon Music listings (including any added by Acme or Cereal).

As for what's on and what isn't, I have no idea.

I'd never feign indignation, I've always wore my heart on my sleeve. Liam was an inexperienced, naive, incapable venue owner. It's exactly the sort of thing I could believe he would do, but as Adam explained it was just a box that had been ticked, not a big job, it could of been done accidentally by one of the many who had access!

Let's not try to suggest I was being anything other than what transpired!

My point was, if you have something to say, then say it, don't dance around it pretending you have no point to make.

But if I had said what you had said I meant, I would have been jumping conclusions, and being an a*s whole! I - very genuinely - asked the question, based on my concern about travelling to a show. The fact it *could* have been attributed to Liam being a cu*t was just a bonus! I thought I did just come out say what I thought!
