We are all into our own little musical scenes, so I thought it would be nice if we shared our collective bands we're looking forward to in 2012... I'll go first

Hymns - Bandcamp - free download - Midlands based 2 piece, getting rave reviews every where it seems. Album released on the incredibly cool BSM on 12/12/11. It's the same sort of package as the latest Frank Turner cd, green leather. Youtube video of their first single, a punch to the temple. Tune. Classic Rock thought so, they made it their track of the day

Tall Ships - Bandcamp - listen to track called Vessels Falmouth based band. Arty and effortlessly cool. Great sound. EP's released on BSM and Blood And Biscuits. I bet 100 squillion pounds now that Pink Mist release their album when it's ready. Youtube video from FRONT (lads mag!) which features their latest single... weird...

Tangled Hair - Bandcamp - free ep if you look at their "first" ep on right. - Techy mathy pop band. Ex-COLOUR, all you need to know really. Live youtube video, but done quite well.

The Naturals - free download from bandcamp, my song of 2011. Bristol based post-rocky thing. Incredible live. Youtube live footage to original version of Kilkeel. it would be worth checking this version first, then listening to the bandcamp version and you'll be able to hear the beast and serious prospect they have become! Probably my most anticipated album ever. If it's as good as that one song, I'll be complete.

Plus new stuff from The Unwinding Hours and Frightened Rabbit should help fulfil my worrying preoccupation with Scottish bands.

There's a new Kiss album due next year, so that'll likely be the one I look forward to most.

Dance Gavin Dance have gone on hiatus, which means there's unlikely to be any new stuff from them. I guess I'll be hoping for a Living With Lions album and a load of new bands I'm not yet aware of.

Looking forward to Allo Darlin's new album in April. It's okay to be twee.

Looking forward to new albums from The Maccabees, MGMT, Queens Of The Stone Age (about bloody time), Islet, The Shins, Radiohead (well maybe it'll be an EP but they are back in the studio), Grizzly Bear, Errors, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Future Of The Left, Phenomenal Handclap Band, Field Music and probably another 15 Fall compilations.
