Didn't they just play Bristol?? My mate Steve, the bassist from Browfort, took his wife, I'm sure that was in Bristol...

Not so much Nearly men, as winners - but they were never as big as they should have been... Therapy? - Church Of Noise. When I heard it, it was love at first hear!

Oh and Ultrasound - Floodlit World

Great band but I hate that particular song. They played The Furnace a few years back and then stayed and partied with us all afterwards. I got a hug at the end of the night off an incredibly pissed Andy Cairns who told me I was the best DJ he'd ever heard. Obviously, it goes without saying he was incredibly pissed.. : )

I thought they did! I went to The Wildhearts show a while back, but didn't manage the Therapy? one, which on reflection was a mistake. I was probably working... Dammit.

I went to that and had a great chat with Ginger and Scott outside afterwards. Support band The Loyalty were a bit ace as well.

I just saw this on The Fleece facebook page "Fleecefans, who likes POP WILL EAT ITSELF?" and assumed they were gonna put them on.
They did indeed play Bristol 2 weeks back at The Trinity.

Reply to Post 79787 by MarkEMoon in Late 90's nearly boys Graham Crabb is touring and recording as PWEI, he now has Mary Mary (ex Gaye Bykers On Acid, Hyperhead and Apollo 440) alongside him and some other people including the ex Pitchshifter drummer.

I was a bit "meh" when I heard this but apparently they remain very very very good live and the new album is pretty good.

Apparently Clint, Adam, Richard and Fuzz were all asked to take part, they all declined but gave Graham their blessing to carry on, given that he was the co-vocalist and main songwriter fair enough I guess.

They were great live this year. All over the stage and the live drummer made a huge difference.

I remember them playing with Liberty 37 back in the day and I bought this single, which was mint (shame about the album...) Liberty 37 - Over When We Say-

The follow-up had some decent tunes though:

When I first started doing my own shows, there were 3 bands that were a BIG turn off, RHCP, RATH, and Incubus.

When bands said our influences are... any of those 3, I just didn't want to know. It seemed that every other band was a funk influenced metal / rock band.

Brrrr indeed!

But I did like Incubus, the early years are very reminiscent of that time for me. I stopped at Cry Left Of The Murder, which I never really listened to.

How about The Longpigs?

Their first album had some belting tracks on there (Far, She Said, Jesus Christ, On and On)?

She Said was a great song.
