Late 90's nearly boys
Secret bands you liked, but wouldn't tell anyone...
Sun 30 Oct 2011 13:55
I was looking through my 7' the other day, and came across loads of old singles I bought by bands that we... a bit s**t really.

Anyone remember / like / hate the following??

Young Young 28's - We're Going Out... It really was pants. And that was their best song
Subcircus - U Love U - Fans of Placebo would of enjoyed it...
These Animal Men - Life Support Machine
Carrie - Molly

And loads of others... it's good fun looking back...

I've got shitloads of 7" singles from the late '90s of crap indie bands that I only bought because they looked cool (lots of coloured vinyl, picture discs, snazzy sleeves). Sadly all completely worthless... : )

I liked that Carrie single, saw These Animal Men live a few times and also used to play the Young Young 28's single in DJ sets

I've got that Dweeb single (Scooby Doo) on 7 inch somewhere. I liked it. I had a pathological hatred for Bis though. But I'm sure that without Bis, there would have been no Dweeb.

Bivouac ("Good Day Song" in particular) I dunno what happened to them but I remember I really liked the album

Bis had that great single, but I never saw them live - was too young... that could of swung things.

Ah what about Campaqe Velocet? The single Bon Chic Bon Genre was indie-dicso amazing!

Behave!! Bis were not good. No no no!

What about Liz Phair? I lusted after her for years in the 90's, fit fit fit. I don't think she was very big over here. I really liked the earlier stripped down stuff like "Fuck and Run"

Belly - They were awesome too (but probably "ran's" as opposed to "also ran's"; )

Superchunk - Anyone remember them?

Eat - I know Mr Moon will back me up with that one

Probably more early than late 90's, but its all a blur
