Well, I felt the forum was missing it.

I use it as a booster pedal.
They are the standard for effect mods

'Recycle: The possiblities are endless

Take this tin can.

It could be made into a Pen.

It could be made into a Spoon.

It could even be made into a Boss Pedal.

Think. The possibilities are endless.'

Reply to Post 9868 by TimO in Guitar Pedals plus, if your Orange pedal is the DS-1 then kudos to you for coming out and admitting it.

Shockingly bad things. imo. : )

all overdrive/distortion pedals are pretty awful though, all need to be run into an overdriven amp to sound good and all that's happening then is the amp is taking over and masking the sound : )

Well, the DS-1 is the best thing for me when I need it at school. The lead guitar amp at school cuts out. So everyone goes clean through the keyboard amp. So I put a some distortion through it! : )

I'm being deliberately harsh - I just personally really didn't like the one I had - it seemed to remove all the bottom end from the sound - may well just have been the combination of gear I was using though

I use your old DS-1 with relatively little distortion. I know that doesn't make much sense having a distortion pedal without much distortion on it But, that's the sound I want.

The DS-1 was the best pedal to get for £30 back when I was 11!

that's how i use it, gain on rock bottom : )

basically doing the job of an overdrive, but all overdrive pedals are dreadful.

Surely if you have Dist on 0, it should be Clean?

zero doesn't necessarily mean no overdive or distortion - just the lowest the control goes. the rest of the circuit, with that control on zero, still generates overdrive (on that pedal) as it's designed that way. If every pedal offered totally clean through to its max setting the sweep of the control would be very difficult to use

nope.

hardly any distortion pedals do that, i know the rat does, can't think of any others. on an amp, zero gain means no sound.

surely with the amount of pedals you cunts claim to have you could just plug one in and find out?
