Good little album that, like the way Metronomy have gone a bit art-school-pop, it suits them

Absolutely, it was such a brave move, but they pulled it off so well. The album got compared to Roxy Music, but I can't really compare. But it was something else. How it didn't win the mercury I'll never know

Yep. This is a quality release. I'd pitch in with Wilco - The Whole Love, Ryan Adams - Ashes and Fire and Bon Iver's self-titled opus. Although after just seeing Wilco live, I'd say any other band may pale in comparison! Astonishing.

I've only just got around to buying that Bon Iver album, but I've heard good things.

You want to get yourself involved with the Winged Victory album in the OP.

Yuck - Yuck

Amazing album. Only found this band a few days ago but have been listening to their album almost non stop. Formed from two members of Cajun Dance Party. If you like Sonic Youth and Dinosaur Jr, definitely check them out.

Totally agree. Will be on my list when I finally get around to thinking about it!

Hmmmm, well at the time of writing, and due to limited funds not allowing me to be as extravagant as I would have liked my top 5 is as follows:

1, Manchester Orchestra - Simple Math
2, Drive-By Truckers - Go-Go Boots
3, Cage The Elephant - Thank You, Happy Birthday
4, Foo Fighters - Wasting Light
5, The Joy Formidable - The Big Roar

And an honourable mention to:

The Strokes - Angles

That concludes the results for ManInTheBox
