Havi ng won Emergenza International Festival in Germany and signing to A&G Records, next year should be a big year for Gloria Cycles, so come check them out and see why!

Brighton based band 'Gloria Cycles' were brought together by a mutual love of photography
shared by Kenny McCracken, (lead singer & guitarist) and Julian Ward (guitarist & backing vocals)
When the multi talented duo met at Brighton University they soon began to realise that they also
shared a love of music." Gloria Cycles" were born.

They pulled off a major coup when fashion student Jen Dalby joined the band as a bass player.
At the time when Jen signed up for the job, neither Kenny or Julian realized Jen also possessed
a beautiful haunting voice which has proved to be integral to the vocal harmonies of the band
as well as standing out on its own, best exemplified on the track' 'Bag'. Then rolled up Jack Hannan,
a versatile drummer having played musical theatre to urban street beats to punk rock.
Jack was the missing link in the chain that completed the cycles.

For anyone that doesn't know this group, you should. Being one of Swindon's best super-groups (ie: actually made up of top musicians from other local bands) these guys know how to play great tunes while having a partying on stage (and for those who were at Sugarhill, luckily Millin hasn't broken his wrist after his crazy swan dive onto the drum kit from his stool, so they can still play!)

Since they all have other bands Rat's gigs are normally few and far between, and I don't think there are anymore in the diary at the moment, so make sure you get down and catch these guys.

Th is will be the first gig we have seen Sing Sing Hotel since they had a packed Rolleston bouncing along to their tunes at the Swindon Shuffle - make sure you come down early to see why!

ha - "supergroup" is that some kind of sick joke. I promise we'll at least be more sober than saturday - maybe not any better though. I might even be able to stand up.
