DRESSED TO KILL AT THE FURNACE , FRI 27 JAN 2012, DOORS 7.30PM, £8 ADV, £10 ON DOOR

For anyone who is 'on the fence' about coming to see us, here's a little bit of 'background':

With the Classic 1977-era costumes, Pyrotechnics, blood spitting, fire-breathing and all the best known songs (delivered with sound-alike vocals); DRESSED TO KILL recreate both the look AND sound of a full-on KISS show.

Formed in 1990, DRESSED TO KILL's first show was on Wednesday 30th Oct 1991, at 'Crystals' Niteclub (Loughborough): documented in Kerrang! magazine, who devoted 3 pages of colour pictures and a review by Ray Zell to their live debut. It took the best part of two years for the band to obtain perfect replica costumes and authentic instruments and backline, and have the songs and moves 'down' - their individual and collective dilligence and attention to detail would ensure they looked and sounded the part, at their first show: and Kerrang's review reflected that.

Since then, the band has wowed audiences at shows and KISS expo's all over the UK, and in Spain, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Japan: such performances have been documented in various UK/European/US/Japanese magazines, and on Mtv and NHK.

DRESSED TO KILL have been engaged by KISS' record companies to promote product releases ('Alive III' cd and 'KISS-Konfidential' video, 'Psycho Circus' album, and most recently KISS' newest album: 'Sonic Boom'; and have also featured at various Music shows, including opening 'Guitarfest' in 2006, and appearing at the 'Titans of Tribute' event as part of Music Live's 10th Anniversary event; But being personally requested by Gene Simmons to enact a KISS show for the pupils in his Channel 4 series 'Gene Simmons: Rock School' is a particular acolade, and perhaps says enough about their ability to deliver a KISS show, even to KISS' satisfaction.

In striving for complete authenticity, DRESSED TO KILL use Spector & Cort basses; Gibson, Epiphone, Washburn, Silvertone, & Ibanez Guitars; Ampeg & Marshall Amplification; DW drums, Zildjian cymbals, and Ahead sticks; plus other replica instruments where 'originals' are no longer available.
