Proof positive that Swindon Borough Council simply cannot use the resources at their disposal to an acceptable standard. The Bowl is a huge potential resource for live music in Swindon and, *every year*, it is completely squandered by a Council that is beyond clueless in this area. Frankly, this is pathetic.

This is an appauling effort, woeful, the Bowl is a great venue and yet again we get another insipid line up, Same (In)difference who came 8th in the X Factor back in 2007 yawn yawn yawn and another act who didn't win the competition.

SBC haven't got a bloody clue.... they were happy enough to swan around backstage at Lydiard last year patting each other on the back about Radio One Big Weekend but ultimately it hasn't made a jot of difference.

and let's face it, Radio One Big Weekend came to Swindon despite SBC and not because of them.

It's telling that I haven't even heard of ANY of them!! :p

It's a joke of a line up, an insult to the people of Swindon, £13 to watch that sh*t.... no thanks, I think it's insulting to families as well..

Just joined, not that the Council will listen to us, we don't seem to matter in their little plan, as long as the Bucks Fizz fans are all happy then that's all okay.

SBC are ultimately the reason I'm selling up and leaving Swindon as their complete ineptitude is driving me out of the town for a variety of reasons (lack of jobs, regeneration on hold, chav culture, mickey mouse approach to the arts, several failed University bids) some great people in Swindon but SBC seem determined to screw up everything they touch.

Dave @ The Vic/12 Bar, Andy @ Riffs, Nicky at Furnace/Rolly, Andy @ Beehive, good people trying to make a difference to this town, SBC are stuck in an episode of Life On Mars, they really do still think it's 1973.

SBC are a joke

They are a big fat joke considering they have spent 3 point something million pounds on the pavement from Miss Selfridge to McDonalds (which also incorporates a fucking fountain (and how long is that going to last?) and lights that change colour with the weather??????????) then a further 9.2 million will be spent on the pavements from Miss Selfridge up towards the top of town!!!! If they need to waste the money on their budget every year so they get their budget for next year I can think of much other better things they could spend their money on and I am sure you lot could too!!

Who the f**k wants to see Same Difference...they were shit!!! Tis all!
