Band Bio
So here we are, two years into a band called Fools Parade. Often described as a rock band before rock was divided into so many categories; I suppose thats about as close as you can get to an explanation on the genre.
The band was started by a group of friends who were getting fed up with the metal scene that seemed to engulf Swindon a few years back. The band members are of no obvious stereotype and this helps them keep an open mind with regard to their music.
Now a band of three, they have played a few gigs in the Swindon area (of which they were less than happy with) but have since locked themselves away and worked hard on balancing their sound and generally improving on the whole.
Their songs are loud, with fast bursts of excitement, often riotous, sometimes quite confusing, but most of the time a proud tribute to situations and feelings they've encountered.
Fools Parade sets are unique because of the wide range of music each member draws their influences from. With John's often punk infused drum beats and wierd yet perfectly placed spontaneous drum rolls, the band have a punk rock feel. Eric's bass lines dance gracefully within the songs, which gives them a sound reminiscent of the Foo Fighters. The chord progressions from Luke (influenced by his love of 60's music) gives them a catchy familier feel which is often found in typically British songs.
The band are now looking to record a demo and are currently gigging in and around the Swindon area and hope to venture further in the near future. Very well worth a listen and who knows what the future may hold.
