Band Bio
Aisha started about 5 years ago after the break up of Shuriken X and the Fydes. Ever since January 2004 Aisha have been gigging solidly and can normally be seen at the Welsh Harp in Gloucester or at The 2 Pigs in Cheltenham.
Aisha’s biggest influences are Interpol, Pavement, the Pixies and Teenage Fanclub and the sound that is created by Aisha is a mixture of these bands. Our biggest moment was when the photo above was taken by the legendery Tom Oldham (taken photos of artists such as Michael Stripe of REM and the Strokes) and then to find out our photo was chosen to be in his exhibition from 10th February - 5th March at the Exposure Gallery, 22-23 Little Portland St, London.
Our biggest gig to date was at the Gloucester guildhall with the wired project where we were lucky enough to play to a sell out crowd (photos at www.wiredrecords.info).
More recently we have been trying to get exposure on myspace and it has been working successfully, with us getting gigs in Manchester in July and also Reading in April.
